During the break between the semester, I’ve managed to visit my school and to make a quiz inside there. Unfortunately, I had only one day, before the holidays, so I only managed to ask around 80 people or even less instead of 200 as planned. As one of the reasons – the principal allowed me to give the test only for students from 5th to 11th grades, so the smallest kids weren’t participating at all. Also, it was the last day before the holidays, so some kids have missed their classes.
Generally, children and teenagers were really happy to miss
the class and to answer those questions. Most of them haven’t written something
and preferred to draw instead. So it was a good decision to include questions
about their thoughts on punishments and alternatives. I also asked them how
exactly their parents might punish them if they trust their parents, and if
children are sure they are being loved.
I’ve scanned all the answers before returning back to
Prague, and now I am thinking about how it would be better to write this information
down, so it would be easy to see the statistics and relations between the
answers. I already managed to put the answers of 20 kids on the excel table.
